FABRIC/COLORS: The fabric is Palm Beach cloth, a trade name for lightweight woven suiting considered particularly nice for hot weather. Palm Beach cloth is typically a combination of cotton and mohair. The color is that soft and muted shade of yellow that can also look like a neutral. The lining is acetate type fabric, and has a slightly more yellow hue.
TAGS: Two tags. The first is Sacony, and identifies the fabric as Palm Beach cloth, ""woven by Goodall-Sanford Inc Only"". The second is a store tag - it was sold at Bullock's Westwood, The Ring. That branch of Bullock's opened in 1952. Palm Beach cloth was made in Sanford Maine up until the early 1950s when the mill was moved to North Carolina, so the dating is pinned down to early 1950s.
CLOSURES: Five chunky molded plastic buttons with a quirky shape.
CONDITION: Excellent. No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted.
